Frequently Asked Holiday Questions

Below are a selection of frequently asked questions asked by visitors to our Holiday Park.

When is the swimming pool open?

The swimming pool opens at 9am - 6pm and closes for lunch between 1 - 2 pm. Last entry for a swim is half an hour before the pool closes. Between 8.30am and 9am on the weekend and during school holidays, the pool opens for an adult only swim. 

Is there WiFi at Devon Valley?

Yes, free WiFi is available in the Boathouse Restaurant and Pub.

Is linen provided for my accommodation?

Yes. Linen is provided at Reception when you check in, with the exception of certain promotional holiday offers. Please note that cot linen is not provided.

Are the beds made up for arrival?

No, if linen is included in your booking, it will be given to you when you collect your keys. (Some promotional holidays do not include linen - although it is then available to hire).

How can I pay for my holiday?

We accept all credit and debit cards except for American Express. There is a 2% surcharge for all credit cards, but no charge for debit cards. You can also pay by cheque. Please ensure that your booking number is written on the back and post to: Devon Valley Reservations, Ringmore Road, Shaldon, Nr Teignmouth, TQ14 0EY.

Do the accommodations have ironing facilities?

No, not in the accommodation, in our laundrette on the park, there are irons and ironing boards that are FREE to use. Washing machines and tumble driers are available for a small charge.

Do all accommodations have a TV and DVD?

All have a colour TV, but only the Silver and Gold accommodations also have a DVD player.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Your booking starts at 4pm, although if you ask at Reception on arrival, the keys may be released earlier if the accommodation is ready. Accommodation check out is by 10am on the day of departure.

Can we barbeque by our accommodation?

Absolutely! However, there are a few guidelines which we would ask you to adhere to: Disposable BBQs must be placed on special trivets available from Reception. (£2 deposit refunded when returned in clean condition). Never leave unattended unless thoroughly extinguished. Do not place on decking or near timber buildings or caravan gas bottles. Ensure you do not disturb other guests. No BBQs after 10pm

Can I bring my pet?

Well behaved dogs are welcome in some of our Clipper, Beamer, Sloop, Schooner and Cutter chalets if pre-booked. They must be kept on a lead at all times, and an exercise area is provided. (As a family holiday park, we reserve the right to refuse certain breeds of dogs that we consider inappropriate). No other pets are accepted.

Where are the nearest trains and buses?

The nearest train station is at Teignmouth - approx. 2 miles or Newton Abbot station is approx. 4.5 miles. Unfortunately, buses do not run past Devon Valley. The nearest bus stop is in the village of Shaldon - approx. 1.5 miles.

What should we bring with us?

All our accommodation is fully equipped for self catering, but you will need to bring your own towels, tea towels, washing up utensils/liquid, toiletries, toilet tissue etc.

What happens if I arrive late?

When Reception is closed, there will be a sign telling you to check in at Breakers Club. Please note that we cannot accept any arrivals after 11.30pm.


Had the most wonderful holiday. Staff were friendly and holiday village was very clean. Food was first class. Views were fabulous would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff.
