Holiday Cancellation Plan

Enjoy extra peace of mind

Our Holiday Cancellation Plan* covers you and your party if you cancel your holiday. We highly recommend taking out this plan, or another plan that gives you comparable cover.

It must be added per holiday home at the time of booking. If you choose not to, then your holiday is not refundable, except under our Lockdown Refund Promise.

What does it cover?

Our Holiday Cancellation Plan covers you and any member of your party in the event of not being able to travel to us due to sickness, redundancy, or jury service.

In addition to our Lockdown Refund Promise, our Holiday Cancellation Plan gives you additional COVID-related cover in the event that:

  • You or a member of your party has to self-isolate and cannot arrive for the holiday
  • You or a member of your party tests positive for COVID-19 and cannot arrive for the holiday

How do I cancel?

Please send us a cancellation request via email or letter, along with your contact details and holiday dates. Please also attach a copy of proof of your reason for cancellation, such as a doctor’s certificate, letter from your employer, or court notification. You are responsible for verifying that your request reaches us successfully. We highly recommend using a recorded delivery service if you send us a letter.

What refund will I receive?

If we receive your request and proof more than 48 hours before your holiday is due to start, you will receive a full refund**. If it is fewer than 48 hours before your holiday is due to start when we receive your request and proof, the maximum refund will be 30% of the total holiday cost**.

Is anything else covered?

You may still claim a refund if you need to cancel for reasons other than sickness, redundancy, or jury service. The amount you will receive back depends on how much notice you give us.

Number of days before arrival: Refund** subject to a charge of:
56 days or more £50 per week or part week
55 to 43 days 30% of the total holiday cost
42 to 29 days 50% of the total holiday cost
28 to 8 days 90% of the total holiday cost
7 days or fewer There is no refund available

What will not be refunded?

** When we calculate your refund, the following items are strictly non-refundable:

  • Your original holiday deposit, which depends on the length of stay (minimum £50)
  • Any payments made with vouchers or credit/transfer notes
  • Any amendment or administration charges
  • The Holiday Cancellation Plan itself

Additional cover for Simply Stay Flexi-Breaks

If you book a Simply Stay Flexi-Break in 2020, your refund will also include the original holiday deposit, less the Holiday Cancellation Plan itself.

* Please also see our Terms and Conditions that apply to your booking.
