Superbly Located

We're just a short drive from the end of the M5 at Exeter. Simply follow signs for Teignmouth and cross the bridge over the river into the village of Shaldon. We're about 1 mile outside of the village. We are the perfect location to explore all that South Devon has to offer. All top local attractions, favourite beaches, and best Devon days out are within easy reach.

Car

Arriving By Road

Arriving by car is easy, as we are located conveniently just 20 minutes from the end of the M5 and only 15 minutes from the A380 (via B3192).

If you are coming from North, Mid, or East Devon, or anywhere else east of Devon itself, you'll arrive at Devon Valley via Teignmouth. Simply head over the Shaldon Bridge and into the village. At the zebra crossing, bear sharply to the right to follow the main road round. Then, take the fork to the right (do not go up the hill). Follow along the lane for just under a mile. We're on your right hand side.

If you are coming from Plymouth or Cornwall, you'll likely arrive at Devon Valley via Newton Abbot. At the Penn Inn Roundabout, follow signs for Combeinteignhead. You'll go through the village of Netherton. Keep following signs for Shaldon - it's around 4 miles in total from Penn Inn to Devon Valley. We're on your left hand side.

Train

Arriving By Rail

You have two options for arriving by rail: Teignmouth or Newton Abbot.

Teignmouth is served by the local Riviera Line between Paignton and Exeter, which connects with mainline services across the country at Newton Abbot and Exeter St David's. Some mainline services also stop at Teignmouth, although less frequently.

Newton Abbot is also served by the local Riviera Line, but Great Western Mainline services between London and Penzance stop here as well. There are also frequent Cross Country services to Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, and Scotland.

Taxis are available from both stations - the journey from the station to Devon Valley takes about 10 minutes (Teignmouth) or 15 minutes (Newton Abbot).

Coach

Arriving By Coach

The nearest National Express coach stop is in Teignmouth. From there, taxis are available to Devon Valley (about a 10 minute ride).

Our nearest large coach hub is Exeter, from where you can use bus or rail services to continue your journey to Teignmouth, where we would recommend using a taxi to complete your journey over the bridge to Devon Valley.

Aeroplane

Arriving By Air

Our nearest airports are Exeter and Bristol.

Taxis and car hire are available from both. There are also local coaches and buses from both airports.

Owing to the number of flights and schedules, we are unable to provide specific information about transfers from the airport to Devon Valley.
